Geocache and Canal Day.

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting!  From Sweden!!

If you've been following our blips for awhile, you will know that Mum and I love canals - enough that we went on a canal trip in May. You will also know that Mum and I recently got into Geocaching. Well, today, was a canal day and a Geocaching day!

Our hosts Elisabet and Alice took us to the famous Göta Canal near where they live. There is steep staircase of 7 locks - the Carl Johan staircase - that rise up from Roxen Lake.  Mum gets very excited about things like canals and locks and boats. We packed a picnic before we left home and enjoyed eating it while we sat alongside the canal watching a few boats go through the locks.

Then after lunch we found 3 Geocaches that had been placed along the locks. It was very special finding these caches with Elisabet and Alice as they were the ones who introduced us to Geocaching!

In between Geocache 2 and 3 we stopped for a monster ice-cream. My mum and Alice's mum have promised us ice-cream every day of the holiday. See our extra pictures. Don't worry - we weren't allowed any of the chocolate coating - but the soft vanilla ice-cream inside was DEELISH!!

The main picture is of me and Alice (with matching life-jackets) with Elisabet, inspecting the logbook of one of the Geocaches. The lock we're sitting next to is yet another lock above the staircase of locks and a large basin.

It was a perfect outing on a perfect sunny Sunday!  We love Sweden!
