MonoMonday (Touch) at the AOG2016

I was privileged to record the training session of the Team Stork fledglings in our village this afternoon. One or two of them may be contenders for the AOG in a few years, although I doubt this one will be in the running. As I was driving into the car park the first fledgling flew low over my car en route back to the nest launching pad. The second one completed a perfect and smooth circle around the car park and touched down on the launching pad in a perfect landing. I was ready with the camera for the third athlete but I watched in horror as it wheeled around lower and lower until it touched the ground fortunately without mishap. It stood there for a few seconds plucking up the courage to give it another go and executed a rather wobbly take off and headed off in the wrong direction. It made it back to the nest launching pad, although not quite as elegantly as its siblings. See the extras for its progress - the photos are not the best but are quite amusing. The last one shows the 3 of them at the end of the training session. No. 3 has turned away, probably embarrassed.
Thanks to JDO for hosting MM with the theme of Touch and to dbifulco for the Alternate Olympic Games
