Ice-Cream Every Day

Dolly reporting from our Swedish Adventure!  

The theme of this holiday is definitely 'Canals'!!  (Or in Swedish, 'Kanals')  And Ice-Cream too!  

Mum and I love canals and today Alice and Elisabet took us on an outing to another canal not far from where they live. This one is called the Kinda Canal. We parked the car and went on a short walk along the canal and ended up at Hofvetorp Lock  where we stopped for a picnic.  Well, it wasn't a full picnic - this is what they call 'Fika' in Sweden - a coffee break, usually with cake.  The humans brought a flask of coffee and some waffles with jam. And just in case that wasn't enough, we also had ice-cream!  Right by the picnic spot is a little hut with a freezer full of ice-creams and a little 'honesty-box' where you put in your money.  It even had a kettle and coffee and tea and sugar and cups in case you showed up without a flask.  How cool is that? It was a very windy and cool day but the sun was mostly shining so we didn't mind. Mum and I think this is about the best holiday ever!  Especially with the 'Ice-cream Every Day' pact.
