Peterhead Prison

A rainy day in Portlethen and not much to do. We decided on a drive to Peterhead to visit the old prison which has been turned into a museum. A couple of people have mentioned to me that it was a good day out and hey were right. Very interesting stuff. Well worth a visit. We signed the guest book (pictured above), and a very tattooed guy in a hat signed after us.

After the museum we headed to The New Inn in Ellon for lunch. We were originally going to be married here, but those plans fell through. Happy to say the food is as good as ever.
After lunch we headed home and Mrs G headed to the gym while I did the laundry, upon her return we decided an impulsive trip to Edinburgh was in order. So next week were off to our nations capitol to enjoy the festivities of the fringe for a couple of days.
