Pattern #2

The only photo I took today! After the daily swim and some shopping, I set off to meet S with fresh supplies. It was a blazing hot day; we found each other in Marc, a village rather lacking in facilities, and swiftly drove down to Auzat to enjoy chilled drinks and ice creams in the shade overlooking the river.

I'd had difficulty finding a place to stay at short notice on this bank holiday weekend, but some googling turned up les Phoenix just outside Tarascon, which had a free room, so I booked it. I can heartily recommend it if you are ever looking for accommodation around there. Our hosts Sylvie and Roger were generous and welcoming. I hadn't realised they did table d'hôte as well as rooms, so rather than spring a sudden request for dinner on them at the last minute, we went into Tarascon to find something to eat, pausing only to say hello to the llamas. Brief research on TripAdvisor suggested the only decent place was the very expensive restaurant we ate at on our last visit. We didn't want to splash out again, so we settled for rather indifferent pizzas and such slow service that we were there for nearly two hours. Still, we didn't really mind as we were happy to be together :)
