Kilns

Another slow start and then we headed out to Portobello to visit my uncle's old haunts.  I'd been doing some family tree stuff before we left  but we didn't need that.  He lived opposite the Power Station. That is long gone and the old Pottery kilns have been retained as evidence of Porty's industrial heritage and the new flats in front have a great view.

The proposed trip to Dunbar had to be postponed as a call from the Manor meant we had to go up and check if mum was ok - she was.  So the rest of the afternoon was spent on the Royal Mile, 'soaking up the atmosphere'.  Then came home for a 'dine in for a tenner' meal and more chat.

The weather is still changeable and a bit cool, for August!
