But, then again . . . . .

Man at Work.

After a quiet morning recovering from the quilt show, we went for a walk along The Ridgeway past Scutchamer Knob (honestly) an Iron Age round barrow; it does have other names but some of them sound even more obscene than its common one. There were a few tractors out gathering the wheat straw into bales and building them into stacks. They were raising enough dust to cause hay fever problems after the long dry summer experienced here compared to the wet one at home. Then it was back to watch the Olympic cycling with Cavendish riding an outstanding pursuit before making a hash of the “devil” to compensate; however, he’s still in there with a good chance of a medal in that most misunderstood of events, the omnium. Then I felt compelled to watch Murray to the bitter end, while he eventually managed to win, he did seem to be fighting a death wish - as he has in several of his matches.
