Sloe-Eyed Bumbarrel

A quick run-round with Jazzy dog this morning and the long-tailed tit troupe were in the blackthorn hedge. The sloes have swelled nicely but won't be ready for harvesting for gin until after the first frost.

I had a lovely swim with my dear old mate at the 1935 outdoor pool in Letchworth Garden City this afternoon. Not surprisingly it was very busy but it's huge so we did circuits in the emptier deep end. It's wonderful that this old facility is still giving pleasure to so many. It's so much nicer to swim in the open air.
