Grass seed or bird seed?!

I spent my day today going with Kent as he went to inspect a new solar sight he is now responsible for.

There was one area where grass seed was put out with a light dusting of hay on top. The hay is not deterring the birds one bit. They were out in the hundreds eating the seed. I don't think there will be much grass growing:-)
