Carskey Bay

(... or back on a Sandy Beach)

16.3C with some early smir. Clearing through the morning then sunny spells and warm through the afternoon. Moderate Westerly breeze.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. We left Maeve the Deerhound at home.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach to Carskey Bay where we had a walk with Maeve from one end of the beach to the other and back. The sea was calm and there were small waves breaking on the beach. Maeve had one small paddle. She still doesn't like waves. The sun was out when we were on the beach and the sea went through an array of blues as the clouds cleared.

There were one or two seals on the rocks at Kiel when we came back along.

On the way to Southend we had checked the farm stand for Little Farm. There was one box of eggs left. I bought that and a bag of green beans. They also had cucumbers, courgettes, curly kale, potatoes, and strawberry plants for sale today.

... oh ! There were Gannets at Carskey,. Diving. Flying by. It was good to see them again. I didn't see any last week.
