An ordinary life....

The Return of Gallus Alice...

Backblip

...this time with side kick Super Ally.

After the unexpected drama of last night, we all had a bit of a lie in.  Jo took  Dot some tea and toast in bed, whilst we tucked into breakfast downstairs (we're very generous that way :-)

Dot was feeling better, just very tired so decided to get her husband Peter to pick her up in Glasgow, where Jo was able to drop her off on her way home.  They left just after 1pm.

And then there were three - Alice, Eileen and me!

Having stuffed our faces at breakfast we decided the next best thing to do was head to a local coffee shop for coffee and cake.  Very nice it was too.

Back to the house by 4pm in time for Marie to join us and to start the fun all over again!

The turn of events last night made us behave ourselves so we were ready to let our hair down tonight.

Alice went to investigate the hilarity coming from Alan's end of the house and found herself taking part in a game of Gooey Louie, a game as disgusting as it sounds but a big hit with Alan (and Alice as it turned out :-)))

Then more food, lots of funny stories shared, lots of funny photos taken (not allowed to blip them, not even allowed to put them on Facebook!) then a mellow, musical end to the evening where we charged our glasses (Alice introduced us to what she called a West Coaster - Bailleys with ice and a dash of whisky!) as we each chose songs from our youth and I queued them up via Spotify and we shared all the hilarious, touching, embarrassing and at times utterly bonkers memories the music brought back.

THIS song wasn't on the play list but the title is what David texted me when he sneaked off to bed to let me know to text him if we couldn't stand up by the end of the night needed anything.

It made me laugh and love him even more if that's possible.
