DDR - Deutsche Deutz Racing

Today the Mercedes, Audi & BMW teams were in Moscow for the DTM, but the real action was here with the other BMWs - Bavarian Muck Wagons. See also Extra Photo.

It's Eutenhausen Festival Weekend which some may remember from last year. It includes a large informal vehicle oldtimer meeting, most of which are the tractor types.

I was out and about in the morning with Flash when the call came to collect Luna so that Angie & Sultan could do some speedwork. We were a few kilometres away in the forest and quickly drove over.

As the exhausted Luna was reluctantly loaded, I heard the sound of old diesels and made a dash to the main road and just caught these two Deutz machines whizzing by. The slower Extra Photo shows the President, Chairman, Chief Executive of the Attenhausen Potato Club trying to catch the young ones. The tractor also featured on a Blip last year.

I didn't make the journey over to Eutenhausen not just because it was cool and all around dark rain clouds but because we had visitors in the afternoon, good friends, so it was nice to sit down and relax for a few hours, catch up on the last two years since we last saw them.

At midday Mr&MrsB sent an MMS with tractor from Eutenhausen asking where I was. Their boring photo from the event was of stationary equipment whereas I had the action  shots and anyway: "The early bird catches the worm"

Been a typical 2016 summer weekend on the weather front but we are told sun and near 30°C warmth coming our way by Wednesday.
