Morning walk by the canal

Beautiful day today, so I went walking this morning along the Canal du Loing, starting from Ecuelles. As you can see from my collage butterflies and dragonflies were out in abundance, flitting amongst the wild flowers along the banks of the canal. I had plenty of company on my walk - fellow walkers, runners and cyclists, and although it is a very quiet stretch of canal, there were a couple of pleasure boats on the canal. The temperature today was pleasantly hot, but they are on the rise - up to 35C by Wednesday - a bit too warm for me!
