Daffodil Day

Today is Daffodil Day in New Zealand, it was cold and dismal with a light drizzle as I was taking this shot early this morning.

Daffodils are usually seen against a beautiful blue sky reminding us of the joys the new season will bring, representing the hope there is for the 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer. But that wasn't to be today instead perhaps a more reflective image.

Flower Friday twist is 'letter', the letter D is prominent today in sound rather than to view, Daffodil Day.....there can be no other letter for me today.

Thanks to BikerBear for continuing to host Flower Friday.

As I type this afternoon, the rain - yes RAIN is steady, more to come tomorrow fingers crossed, 9C was our high today.

Another weekend rolls on in, enjoy blippers :)
