Through the gap

It's miserable outside, wet and cold. On the other hand this is the first winter I've ever had to water my garden. The aquifers beneath the Canterbury Plains are low. To replenish them we need at least a couple of weeks of rain like this, and a change in how we view water use.

So miserable yes, but more importantly the land welcomes it. I'm pretty sure it will still be wet when I run in the morning. At least I'll know I'm alive ;-)

I'm ending my week with a self set challenge. When I get tired I'm my own worst enemy, easily distracted and prone to frittering away time. For the next 2 weeks I'm going to apply discipline to go to bed earlier each night. I'll let you know how I get on.
