Windsor Castle Gates

We've finally reached our last stop.  Heathrow is around the corner.

We're at a lovely B&B close by but again I thought we'd better take a cab.  Actually, according to the train conductor, we'd been sold the wrong ticket and were told to go to London first.  We ended up transferring three times -- Leamington Spa, Reading, Slough.  Alls well that ends well but we were too tired to walk.  Our hosts had expected us much later so were not home so we just entered the backyard and rested there.  Their grandson came home first and did the honours.  They are all lovely folk.  He's 70-ish and still jogging in the morning, she's turning 76 soon.

There was no time to visit anything any more, but we had absolutely no problem with that and just spent the rest of the afternoon walking around town, during which I thought I might as well shoot the castle walls and gate, among other things, just in case it rains tomorrow.  We are slowly beginning to feel that it's about time to go back home and are immensely thankful the weather is still bright and motivating.  Tomorrow, of course, we will visit the castle and hopefully catch the changing of the guard.  Something to look forward to.

THANK YOU for dropping by!  I really appreciate it.
