International Street Market

Once a year, a huge street market with stalls selling food from all over the world comes to our city. Mum says it's un-Swedish, which is probably why it is so popular. We decided to go early, to avoid the crowds.

Let's just say that plan backfired. At eleven, the place was packed with people! Ten or more in line for every food stall. We just strolled down the street, taking in sights and smells. Well, I didn't stroll exactly, I was carried because it was so crowded. Even mum had trouble moving.

We asked for salted caramel butter fudge at the gigantic English fudge and toffee stalls, but they didn't have any. Lucky we got some from our friends Dolly and Heidi then! Mum wanted to eat something, and finally we found somewhere you didn't have to wait twenty minutes to be served. Gelato Italiano! Yay!!

Mum got a cone with strawberry and tiramisu, and I got a cup with vanilla that turned out to be almond. I didn't mind! It was delicious! Mum ended up dropping some on the ground. On the whole, an exciting outing.
