Have Lighting, Will Travel

I knuckled down today and got my big striplite softbox assembled, as well as charging the battery for the Godox portable light that I bought two weeks ago.

On return from taking Basil for a run in Meadow Park in East Leake and popping in to see Hayley, I got out my heavy duty stand from the garage and set everything up in the garden intending to use my dearly beloved as a model.

Here you see the softbox with a honeycomb scrim which has the effect of narrowing the spread of the light.

Len made faces at the camera after he'd put the pump back in the pond, which is why he's wearing only one wellie. He only needed to put one foot in the water!

The extras are of him with the honeycomb and without the honeycomb. There is a difference but it is rather subtle.

Anyway, I was pleased with myself for setting it all up by myself and for getting the lighting to work.
