Egg!

I had forgotten how hard it is to get a decent shot of an egg. A gift from one of our new chickens (the ones that lay the blue eggs are Blue Rock. (  Legbar /Barred Plymouth Rock Hybrid ). The eggs will get darker as the chickens get older.

I was surprised we got any eggs as when I went to check on them last night none of the new hens had managed to get into the coop before the automatic door closed. There was some frantic chicken chasing to get them all in.

Last day of holiday as H and the children are all back to school tomorrow. Oddly enough the children seem quite organised (clearly H is very organised) I do expect mild panic in the morning though.
