Tasty Move

What a magnificent street fair.  Well not a fair so much as a festival for foodies..
You could scarcely move an inch without being tempted by something tasty and that was the aim of the Romsey Food Festival, its organisers and participants who took over the town’s main streets today. In fact the streets were so packed you could scarcely move more than an inch at a time in any event.
The Food Festival and the town’s regular first Sunday of the month Farmers’ Market were blessed with good weather and proved another inspirational town centre event.
Mayor John Parker moved among the stall holders and crowds packing the streets and the town centre, pausing for a word here and there and provided the seal of approval for the event.
It gave local Hampshire food producers the opportunity to show off culinary attributes produced locally, but more than that there was the chance to sample tasters and flavours of unusual or vastly differing origins.

Organisers should take a bow and deserve congratulations for an inspired choice for us foodies.
