Not From The Bradley

We fly in & out of LAX a lot as it is the closest United States airport to our home in Mexico and Alaska Airlines offers direct flights. Even though we are flying internationally, we never get to fly from the Tom Bradley International Terminal because Alaska flies into Terminal 6. Today we travel to London Heathrow, so surely we would get to experience the ambiance that is the TBIT.
(From the website: It is part of the largest public works project in the history of the City of Los Angeles. The exceptional space includes a 150,000 square foot Great Hall, 18 new aircraft boarding gates (of which half can accommodate the largest airplanes in the world), public art commissions and iconic, state-of-the-art Integrated Environmental Media Systems. With a design inspired by the Pacific Ocean's undulating waves, 360-degree views from within the terminal and sustainable facilities designed to achieve LEED certification, the new Tom Bradley International Terminal also offers a vast array of almost 70 new dining and retail shopping outlets, as well as passenger amenities for travelers of all ages and travel styles.)

Unfortunately, we connected via Salt Lake City, so we were relegated to Terminal 5. Fortunately, once behind security I could walk to the TBIT and briefly see what we have been missing all the years. Truly spectacular! Maybe someday we will fly somewhere from the magnificent space, but not this trip.
