RBGE Palm House

Today, before many friends and family started arriving in Edinburgh, our daughter took us on a tour of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh - the place she has called home for the past school year. It was great having an expert along to show us everything RGBE has to offer, and with a "backstage" pass to get us into the restricted areas. The glasshouses (greenhouses in United States parlance) are a centerpiece of the gardens. This is the entrance to the glasshouse complex, ten of the 28 which are open to the public. My wife the plant nut thoroughly enjoyed seeing the different zones and the varied plants they contain. My daughter enjoyed showing us around "her world". I enjoyed taking photos of the many colorful plants. We all enjoyed being together again. A win-win day for us all.
