The Underground

Meant to go to a meeting in London today where the project I've been working on over the past couple of years was handed over to another section of the service. The meeting was cancelled at the last minute owing to the new section not being able to provide a representative to attend the meeting. Doesn't bode well for the future.

As the colleague I've been working with on the project was committed to coming down from the North and had made other bookings we decided it would be good to meet up and work out for ourselves just what to do in the short and medium term. That's just what we did and it proved to be very useful, providing us with (in management speak) a road map for the next few months.

Going up to London also meant I could call in at a Nespresso shop to purchase some more sleeves of coffee pods as well as have a look around a part of the city. Both objectives were achieved as I took the tube to Piccadilly (this shot), went to get the coffee and walked to Green Park along Jermyn Street past all those tailors and gents outfitter shops.

As Susan was out I went for arun when I arrived home, very hot and humid under a blanket of cloud; cooked dinner after which we went for a walk in the balmy warm air of a September evening.
