Alpine Peaks

We set off this morming from Cortina (Italy) in beautiful sunshine. We followed the route we took on the Club Triumph 10 Countries Run last year at least to begin with. We had a few stops to photograph the fabulous scenery before deciding to catch a cable car ride up from San Cassiano. From the top the views were fantastic in pretty much every direction. The blip was taken here.

Then it was on over a few more mountain passes to the submerged Campanile in the extras and last photographed by us when Annie visited in 2012.

Finally we skirted back through Austria and into Switzerland. Our road followed a water course for some ditance and when we stopped for a photo, it turned out to be part of a hydro-electric power system. There were warnings not to get too close to the water due to sudden flash floods. Standing well back, a few long exposures were taken (see the second extra).

Finally round to our home for the night, the beautiful St. Moritz. A lovely hotel overlooking the lake.
