The Day before they fly the nest ...

Well at least one of them for now.

It's been a perfect day today. The sun shone gloriously, full of warmth, making everything look bright and happy.

Went to Coney Hill Baptist Church with Dave and Eileen, the church we used to attend when we lived here 19 years ago. Met some old friends and had a good catch up.

Then off to a Sunday lunch at a pub in Albury, Surrey near Gadgetkid and G's lodge. Fabulous meal which we thoroughly enjoyed and devoured.

Final stop at the lodge near Shere where this pic was taken. Prosecco, compliments of GadgetKid and G, thank you very much! We absolutely loved it.

So tonight is the last night of young Ben's 'life as we know it' with mummy!! Tomorrow, he's moving into his flat with his flatmates. He will be with us again when I take Jon to Oxford, but it's the start of this process. This is actually happening.

PS. Had a long discussion about 9/11 and remembering what each of us were doing that day, as we drove down to Albury. The day that changed the world.
