A good tradition

This is Malt Mill Lane in Alcester. These beautiful old Tudor buildings were derelict and in line for demolition in the sixties. Fortunately the local authority thought that they would make good sheltered accommodation for the elderly if they were restored.
The whole scheme has won architectural awards and is an example of traditional buildings being brought up to date for a useful purpose.
