Tiny Tuesday . . . Trout Flies

Small lids snap open
Revealing feathers threads hooks
Angler versus trout.

I have discovered two boxes of trout flies owned by my father.  As a child I moved with my parents from Christchurch to Taupo.  It would have been a culture shock for them going from a city in the South Island to a small country town in the North Island.  It also offered new experiences to try.  Dad took up trout fishing and I remember him practicing casting on the lawn.  The little flies are not being thrown away because the forester thought he might use them in his retirement.  The little doors have names on them e.g Gravel Bee, Stone Fly, Dark Olive Quill.
