She's feeling better

After a week of illness, Asia started feeling better today. She is walking remarkably straighter and she has also started eating bit, phew! That was our biggest concern & she has dropped to only 13.2 lbs, but last night on her own she ate about 6-8 crunchy dog treats. This morning she was not interested in food, but at lunch time had some tiny bits of sliced turkey from a sandwich - wow! Her nausea must be waning. Steve decided to take her to Lucas Boatworks for a few hours this afternoon. That is her normal routine which she has been missing. Because she is still a bit unstable, he found her doggie life vest & strapped that on for the ride. Doesn't she looks sporting! I will add another photo of her, a silly closeup in the "extra photos". 

We did see our Vet this morning and we decided with her to have bloodwork done to make sure there was not something else going on with her liver or her kidneys, or something like that. I think it was a good idea because she has been slowing down & losing a bit of weight lately, not so interested in food. It may just be her declining as she ages, but this will help to tell us more. Thank you for ALL your support through this difficult week. I think if Asia continues to eat a bit and the test results come out okay, she'll be keeping us company for a while yet. xo
