Ugly duckling

Here's yesterday's caterpillar, today joined by a couple of slightly smaller pals. According to TallGirl it's on its way to being a Swallowtail butterfly. That's worth losing a few parsley leaves over, so him and his mates can stay.

Today saw me throwing all the doors and windows open to let some blissfully cool air in, protected from insects by the curtains of rain falling outside. It rained pretty much all day, which has put everyone down here in a shiny good mood.  The mood in our house was much brightened once the weight of company admin was lifted (by spending 3 hours battling with forms and numbers), so curry for dinner.

There was time to explode some mentos and coke, and an existential language learning crisis.
