Another enjoyable day .... and U-Bahn pictures

We did manage to get up early but failed to leave the house early. Well, still earlier then the last few days.
First target today was the Helmut Newton Museum. I want to go there since ages! Last time we attempted it was closed .... as it was a Monday.
Today we were successful.
It was fantastic. I am since a long time admirer of his work and it was fantastic to see so much of his stuff plus insight into his way of working and also correspondence. He was still working when he was 83 and died in an accident.
Also the work of his wife June (Alice Springs) was worthwhile seeing. The third exhibition was Bernard Larsson, who did a lot of documentary in the 1960ies, especially in Berlin. We spent about 3 hours if not more in the exhibition.
The Museum also houses a book shop, which I tried to ignore. So many beautiful Photography books!!! I did not buy anything because I did not want to carry it all day. These beasts are heavy! But I will be certainly back!
The Helmut Newton Foundation is close to the Ku'damm and we went there for a coffee afterwards.
We both do not like the Ku'damm area too much. It is far too commercial.
So we decided to take the U-Bahn to Friedrichshain. It is full of Bars, Cafes, Restaurants and Clubs. We had fun walking around and looking into the quirky shops, had another coffee and went via the RAW to the next U-Bahn Station to get home. It was almost 8 pm.
Back in our Kietz, we grabbed some food at the Golgata, a Beer garden in the Victoria Park. It was not great and we had to get a Döner take-away on our way home.

My Blip is AGAIN U-Bahn.
There might be more the next days, as I am fascinated by U-Bahn Stations and love to photograph them and process them grungy.
