Street Art Twirl

I have played around today with an image taken of some street art in Brick Lane last week.  I have done these twirl style effects before. I hoped the face would be effective especially the eye and face outline brought through.

I'm not entirely sure it's exactly what I want so any comments of a critical nature would be helpful.  The original photo is added to help you assess.
