The part of the garden that has historically had a rectangular lawn on, be it for croquet or tennis, now has a rectangular lawn back on it - and quite probably more level than its predecessors; though a bit smaller.

Badminton has already been suggested.

The last couple of tons of laurel and holly from this area are gently burning as I type.

All it needs now is the beds dug over, planted, the path around the outside, track laying, ...

The house is full of guests who've arrived for this weekend's Autumn Show.  

I wonder if there'll be plants for sale....?
