The Fleece

Down to Alnwick late this afternoon for fish & chips at Carlo's but, before that, the customary walk on the beach at Alnmouth with Louie.

The real reason for the trip was to see a production of Under the Bed - A Fairytale for Grown Ups at Alnwick Playhouse. It was a 'Pay what you decide' performance - book seats for free and pay what you think it's worth. We had no idea what to expect, but it was actually very good if not a little unsettling, and the young actress, Emily Mallaghan, who played the lead role was brilliant. 

We had time for a drink in the bar before the production. Maybe, next time, we'll pop in to the Fleece, just opposite the theatre. It looks rather inviting - even in a rather fuzzy blip (taken before I had the glass of wine btw!).
