Papery birch

The Silver Birch tree in my garden is endlessly interesting through the seasons, equally beautiful with its full panoply of leaves as when stark and twiggy.

The lovely bark has been begging to be blipped; part of me wants to tear it off like a tempting bit of peeling wallpaper, but I have resisted temptation so far.

My super intrepid daughter, no1 peanut, is flying off to Capetown today on the first training week of her new job. Bon voyage, little peanut - learn lots!
