Its been fun

Fridays are always busy and today was not different to normal except that it was spent in the good company of colleagues in Andover. We've worked hard but also laughed alot especially when one of the team was pretending to take part in the floor exercises with a ribbon streamer. It was even more funny as it was a guy - we do have photographic evidence. It might prove useful.

No time to go into town for lunch, so it was a miscellaneous assortment to eat ie anything that I could find in the office.

As you won't be seeing these guys for a while I thought that this was appropriate.

Go large to see his tail feathers - nearly cue for a song

History Lesson Part 6 - recent history

The first new council houses were ready by 1954 and by 1981 the population had risen to 51,000. A bypass, (most local people have never visited Andover as the A303 bypasses it) industrial estates and a new shopping centre in the town centre, called the Chantry Centre,
were all built and the town's character changed completely (I'd say). The new council houses proved to be very badly built. It seemed that the local council would have to foot the enormous bill for reconstruction, but after starting legal action against the Greater London Council a settlement was achieved, in which the GLC paid a large sum of money to the local council, which started a programme of refurbishment that finished in 1995.

The things that made me smile:

The geese flew over the building in formation squonking

Exercise: Ran on the spot to Maniac from Flashdance again ( I know someone who likes this video)

PS Back to work in London on Monday. The mascot hunt can be continued.

Have a great weekend everyone
