MonoMonday: Cultural Organism

Great to have Blip back again tonight.  Frustratingly I had written yesterday's entry but lost it when the site crashed as I hit the publish button.  A day later I can't really be bothered to try to rewrite it, time has moved on :-)  Many thanks to the Fantastic Four for their efforts to get everything back and running.  Its interesting, but now that I come to think about it, the site used to crash reasonably regularly earlier last year.  How one gets used to reliability!

Today's shot is of the pipe organ at St Mary Redcliffe in Bristol.  There is a long tradition of sacred music and it has had a significant impact on musical culture in the West.  I love the fact that organists tend to have mirrors so that they can check to see if anyone is coming up behind them to complain about their playing.

That is what the mirror is for isn't it?

With thanks to Ingeborg for this week's Mono Monday challenge.
