Fiery sky

The weather was somewhat better for our second day of monitoring, in that it didn't actually rain on us. But it wasn't exactly pleasant working all day in a strong south-westerly wind under dark grey skies. We made steady progress, but still have plenty to do tomorrow.

As I was cooking dinner I looked out and saw the most amazing sunset developing. There was no time to get to anywhere scenic, so I opted for a semi-abstract shot to show the wonderful colours. Hopefully, once we've finished paid fieldwork (only five more days to go!) I might manage to get out for some early evening walks to catch the sunset properly!
