Sand Grains

18C with a thin cloud layer. Feeling cooler and much easier for walking.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went out for our walk before lunch. This seems to have become the norm for the moment. Cooler walking today, so Maeve was much happier. Lots of butterflies to be seen as we walked down the bridle path. We stopped a few times and watched them flitting about but none alighted where a picture could be shot.

On the beach, where the tide was further in, there was still only soft sand and pebbles for walking along so Maeve was still just plodding along. Two small children and two adults that I took to be their grandparents were enjoying the beach, looking for things to collect. Another child and parent were out on the rocks amongst the rock pools. I took a few shots in and around a small rowing boat which was lying on the sand halfway up the beach, near the big creel rack. I chose the one I liked best for today's blip, and it even has a streak of blue :-)

At the Fishermen's huts the tractor restoration was taking another stride forward. The engine cover was just raised as Maeve and I walked past and the man doing the work getting ready to begin whatever he had planned for today. Greetings were exchanged :-)

Earlier there was croissant munching, and yes ... Maeve had a corner.
