Mickelsmäss

Mum awoke with a start from her snooze at a quarter past three, remembering that she had meant for us to go to the yearly harvest market Mickelsmäss in Old Linköping. So off we went, at top speed.

Everything was still up and running. All the stalls, selling vegetables and plants, but also a wide range of handicraft, bread, honey and more. Actors in old time clothes walked the streets, the shops were open and the small train was in operation. We got two sugar buns, and then mum decided we needed a herring burger. Yay!! Made perfect sense to me.

We remembered our friends Dolly and Heidi throughout the visit, because this was where we first met, and had our first ice cream together, and also spent our final afternoon having tea. We visited the café and went on the same forest walkie as we did that first - and last - day. Wish they were here!!
