Dumbarton Rock

In the park this evening during a lull in the heavy showers, looking south you could see right down the valley to where the low sun was shining on Dumbarton Rock (a plug of volcanic basalt in the River Clyde).
Dumbarton Castle sits on the 240 feet high Rock.
Don't ever remember noticing it from here before; I guess it was just the sunlight glinting off it that caught my eye.

Also in the photo - in front of the Rock with the sun also shining on it is what's left of the old Ballantine's distillery (which I previously blipped here: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2142341502389452996 ) and below them you can see the top of Bonhill Bridge (which I previously blipped here: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2192378160459288431 )
