Resident of Martin Mere

Saturday 1st October 2016 (1498)

Day out for the walking group. Sixteen of us started from Burscough and walked across the fields to Martin Mere and then round the reed beds. We stopped for the group photo in the extras and then realised that the grass around us was moving. On closer inspection we found rather a lot of these frogs, some were quite friendly. 

The walk continued around the reed beds, across the fields and back along the canal - a total of 6.6 miles. As usual we finished with a very nice pub lunch. 

By the time I got home I had half an hour to shower and change before being back at church for a wedding!
