Just Sitting #2

Some clouds; much sun and a start of Ranulph Fiennes book Where Soldiers Fear to Tread - it’s out of print and not available as an eBook either. Somehow I’ve got a copy signed by himself in October 1978 and it’s a great read. Full of wonderful little observations such as the Colonel of the Muscat Regiment was a polo playing Grenadier officer and personal friend of the Duke of Edinburgh - and for a hobby in his spare time he wrote plays. RF records that he was ‘very down to earth.’
Out later for a shit meal - the ‘cheese and garlic bread’ starter was a culinary delight that will stay with me for some time.
