Heather, sheep and spider webs!

Monday
It was a chilly start this morning at 4C but under sunshine and clear skies, it soon warmed up into a lovely day. Mist was still hanging over the river as I crossed it this morning, heading to meet up with the walking group the other side of Fontainebleau. There were six of us this morning, and we had a great walk. The heather was looking glorious, and we came across quite a number of spider webs still covered in dew. However, the most surprising part of our walk was coming across a fairly sizeable flock of sheep, complete with bells -  none of us had ever seen sheep in the forest before. Apparently they have been introduced as an experiment in a couple of open areas of the forest to keep the vegetation down. Then this afternoon it was Needlework group over in Barbizon - just four of us today, but always an enjoyable time.
