A Dog and Old John

Out early this morning in the hope of glimpsing deer in Bradgate Park. The landscape was bereft of deer, even though it's rutting season, so all you have today is my favourite dog and yours, Basil, nestling in the lee of Old John, the stone folly at the top of the hill.

Spent a very productive morning thereafter with Pete, who helped me immensely with fixing  hangings to the canvases for display from next week.
