We left the house in time this morning, but very soon we were running late as we encountered three way temporary traffic lights en route to breakfast club, which were not working properly.  Amazingly we made our train.  I spent the day stuck at my desk.

BB didn’t have badminton tonight, so I headed to after school club to collect him, before a quick run round the supermarket.  It was then home for tea and homework.  When we got home we found our wonderful window boxes had crashed to the ground and smashed.  They have sat on the window sills all summer as well as in previous years.  We didn’t have time to tidy them up before it got dark – so I expect that will be a job for the weekend. 

As if having a building site in the field behind us wasn’t bad enough, we are now about to have another building site along the road from us, as they begin building a new hospital – which I believe is well overdue. We got a  letter through the door advising us that there would be a lack of parking at the hospital for staff in particular, and that they will be parking in nearby residential streets and walking the rest of the way.  No doubt there will be more temporary traffic lights too, as almost every development around town, has its own set of temporary traffic lights at the moment.
