Above And Beyond...

Korakades Village

When we got lost in the thunderstorm yesterday we ended up in a semi derelict village. With the rain hammering down there was no way we could get out of the car to wander round and take in its charm.

After spending a few hours on the hotel beach, we had a salad lunch, and Mrs BB suggested finding the village again. I didn't need to be asked, twice!

I took a few photo's of the lovely dilapidated buildings. Some houses are still lived in, it's like people died and the houses were not sold on. The lovely church in the village certainly had a very large cemetry! The village is on top of a hill, surrounded by Olive trees many of which have nets underneath for harvest, leading down to the more inhabited part of the village where there were shops, garage and lovely kept football pitch.

The blip photo is one view looking down the main road of the village.
