U3A

Another sunny day and another beach blip. It's gone a bit cold this evening though. There'll be no wine drinking on the sun terrace for Ann tonight. Might even have to switch on the heating when we watch 'Corrie'?!


Anyway, as those of you who follow our Blips regularly will know............... we're going to be moving back to Edinburgh for a few months at the end of October  For those of you who don't know..................... Ann owns a flat in Edinburgh which has been rented out for almost 20 years has recently been refurbished (check out the trauma of the 'big Edinburgh flat refurbishment') so she wants to live in it for a while to see how all the new stuff works.


Apparently Ann needs a job new hobbies while we're in Edinburgh and is thinking of joining the U3A. Now we know that lots of you lovely Edinburgh Blippers are even older than Ann so we wondered if any of you have experience of the U3A and if so; what do you think of it? Ann tells me that they're trying to set up a dog walking group to go on walks which will end up at a cafe or a pub. We like the sound of that?!! And also Ann fancies doing a photography course and a writing course and a line dancing course??!! There's just so much going on in Edinburgh. As far as we know, all that happens at the St Ives U3A is a 'talk' every now and again???


Anyway if any of you 'oldie' Blippers could give Ann advice re the U3A I know she'd really appreciate it.


….......................And if any of you 'young trendy Edinburgh Blippers' know of any part-time jobs that are available please also let us know. Obviously Ann needs to do a little bit of work so that she can afford to keep me in the treats that I have become accustomed to??!!
