Basking Before The Big Sleep

The fact that I'm posting a green shieldbug is a sure sign that the bug togging season is coming to an end. :( Lots of wasps about, including ichneumons,  and a few hoverflies, I even saw a red admiral but our six-legged friends are becoming more difficult to spot.

This is a lovely fresh shieldbug, I love its leaf-green colour and the pink tinge to its body edges, just like the bramble leaf it is basking on. It was making the most of the sunshine this afternoon before it turns bronze and hibernates.
