Clyde and cloud

Revisited a former fave walk today, primarily because it was off-road and promised a slightly brighter sky than a glen further north. The paths below Toward Hill were created some years ago now, though they're a lot more enclosed by the birch wood that has grown up round them, and they're less attractive to walkers since the current craze for mountain-biking round Dunoon took off: we had several horribly muddy patches to negotiate where tyres had churned up the track despite the dry spell we've just had.

The view is of the Firth of Clyde, with Bute in the foreground and the hills of Arran vanishing into the mist further downriver.
