Derelict Sunday - Loading Bay

First of thank you for your messages of support after yesterday's blip, you are such lovely people. I really would miss you all....

I spent most of the day at Mrs madwill's studio - installing a fridge, clearing rubbish, putting up hooks for display quilts and generally getting ready for the grand opening next Saturday (we are away now for a few days so have to be ready today).

New cups and glasses are all washed up and dried and the tea / coffee water boiler tested....

The wooden pallets that the furniture arrived on were donated to a food packing company in the unit opposite us.

The studio is located in a building on Thorp Arch Estate - which was originally built in the early 1940s as a munitions filling factory (No 8 apparently) and so there are loads of old bits of bunkers and typical wartime single storey buildings. I also found a couple of these old 'loading bays' (not really sure if that is what they were) still with some rail tracks in place.

The sun was bright and so to be able to see inside in this photo I did a 3 shot HDR, at 0 and +/- 2 stops. Merged in Nik HDR Efex Pro. It is my contribution to the Derelict Sunday anniversary! Thanks to freespiral for hosting
